BAGERHAT: Inclement weather conditions prevailing in different areas of the district claimed two lives on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam Howlader, 50, son of Hamid Uddin Howlader and Selim Talukder, 35, son of late Amzad Hossain.
The northwester storm also damaged some 50 houses in the area.
Police Super of Bagerhat Khandaker Rafiqul Islam told banglanews, “Abul Kalam died after rooftop collapsed in his house in Gobardia area of Sadar upazila at 9:00am.”
Besides, Selim was killed in lightening while working in his cattle house of Kathaliadanga village of Fakirhat upazila at 9:15am.
