RANGPUR: A man was killed as a truck rammed his motorcycle in front of Rangpur Police line on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abu Hanif, 50, son of Abdur Rahman of Chandanpar Kumari Hut village and a Habildar of the police line.
Rangpur Sadar Police Station OC Shahbuddin Khalifa told banglanews, “A truck rammed his motorcycle while he was coming out of the Police line around 9am, killing him on the spot.”
He said, “Though we seized the truck but the driver fled the scene. The body will be sent to Rangpur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
“A case will also be filed with the Thana in the connection,” he added.
