TK 12 cr venom seized in city

DHAKA: Police seized snake venom worth about Tk 12 crore in city’s Uttara area on Monday noon.

Uttara (West) police station OC Khandaker Rezaul Hasan told banglanews, “ A mobile team of police found a box floating in lake water at sector no 5 of Uttara in the city around 11:00am.”

“On suspicion, they picked up the box and recovered six glass-made pots which carried two pounds of poison of Cobra Snake,” he added.

Police claimed it is the biggest quantity of snake poison recovery and the poisons were imported from France.
 
Police already started ingestion to trace whoever brought the poison.
