DHAKA: People of all walks of life will stage a grand-rally at Shahbagh at 3:00pm on February 21 to press home their demand of death penalty for all war criminals, including Quader Mollah.
The February 21 is International Mother Language Day, also Shaheed Day of Bangladesh. On February 20, the protesters will fly balloons in memory of the bloggers, also organizers of the Shahbagh protest.
Convener of Gano Jagoron Mancho Dr Imran H Sarker made the announcement on Monday night.
He also urged all to construct Shaheed Minars in educational institutions where there is no any Shaheed Minar.
The Shahbgah protest demanding death penalty to all war criminals including Quader Mollah, entered the 14th day on Monday.
Thousands of people of all classes and religions within the country and abroad are raising their voices from Tuesday last for the same demand—“Hang War Criminals”. They are standing firm on their demand.
People from all walks of life under the banner of ‘Bloggers and Online Activist Network’ are staging demonstration at Shahbagh intersection in the capital demanding capital punishment to all war criminals including Jamaat assistant secretary general Abdul Quader Mollah.
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 Awarded Abdul Quader Mollah with lifetime imprisonment and Abul Kalam Azad alias Bachchu Rajakar with death penalty for their involvement in crimes against humanity.
