DHAKA: A total of nine litterateurs, researchers and translators have been nominated for the Bangla Academy Literary Award-2012 for their outstanding contribution to their respective field.
They are Sanaul Haque Khan and Abid Anwar (Poem), Harishangkar Jaladash (Fiction), Sanat Kumar Saha (Essay), Khandaker Sirajul Haque (Research), Fakhrul Alam (Translation), Mahbub Alam (Literature on Liberation war), Tapan Chakraborty (Science, Technology and Environment) and Mahbub Talukder (Children’s Literature)
The winners will receive the awards at a function on February 24, said a release circulated by Bangla Academy on Monday.
