DHAKA : Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid categorically said the country could not be modernized through conventional education system.
The education minister came up with the observation while addressing a certificate giving programme of BBA 1st batch of DCCI Business Institute in the city Saturday.
He said, “The conventional education is of obsolete and we hope that building a modern Bangladesh is possible through making a change in the education system.”
Expressing hope to implement education policy soon, he added that the students are showing interest in reading in business related subjects as it ensures more jobs. “I appreciate the initiative of DCCI,” he said.
With DCCI president Asif Ibrahim in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by college inspector of National University Professor Dr Anwar Hossain, convener of DCCI Business Institute MH Rahman, M Hossain Ali, senior vice president Hayder Ahmed Khan and Khandaker Shahidul Islam.
