RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: Three Awami League men received bullet injury when Chhatra Shibir activists attacked and opened fire gunshots at an office of ruling Awami League in Binodpur adjacent to Rajshahi University (RU) on Monday evening.
The injured are general secretary of Ward No-30 of Rajshahi Metropolitan Awami league Shahidul Islam, 37, Ratul, 22 and Faizar, 21.
They were rushed to Rajsahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Officer-in-Charge of Motihar Thana Abdus Subhan told banglanews armed Shibir activists attacked AL men there in the evening and also torched Ward No-30 AL office. The three received bullet injury in the attack.
On information, police rushed to the spot and threw teargas shells, rubber bullets and blank fire to disperse Jamaat-Shibir activists.
Later, Jamaat-Shibir activists attacked law enforcers which triggered a clash.
