Abducted city BNP leader killed

KUSHTIA: General Secretary of 56 Number ward of Dhaka City Rafiqul Islam was found dead in Pollir ground under Kumarkhali upazila of the district on Saturday midnight.

Earlier on the evening he was abducted from his village home in Jhenidah.

After primary investigation, police said he might be beaten and strangled to death.

Victim`s family sources said that 6/7 people forcibly took him away on a white microbus when he was talking to others in his village home of Shailokopa.

While leaving they asked his family members to contact with Jhenidah Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) office.

Commanding squadron leader of RAB-6 Hamidul Haq told banglanews that they hadn’t picked up Rafiqul.
