DHAKA: Industries Minister Dilip Barua Friday called upon Dr Yunus and Fazle Hasan Abed to speak about caretaker government system through evaluating popularity after joining politics.
The minister made the remarks while addressing a discussion commemorating eminent nuclear scientist Dr MA Wazed Mia organized by Bangabandhu Academy at the National Press Club in the city on Friday.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with Nobel laureate Dr Yunus and Chairperson of BRAC Sir Fazle Hasan Abed and discussed on country’s political situations and caretaker government system during her visit to the country.
“The government can not be influenced by giving complaints to foreigners. The government is determined in holding next national election under interim government,” said Dilip Barua.
With president of Bangabandhu Academy in the chair, the programme was also addressed, among others, by Awami League presidium member Babu Satish Chandra Roy, Yusuf Hossain Humayun, AL organizing secretary Ahmed Hossain, metropolitan AL leader Hazi Md Selim and Krishak League leader Shamsul Haque Reza.
