DHAKA: The cricketers of Bangladesh National Cricket Team visited the demonstration venue in city’s Shahbagh area on Sunday afternoon to express their solidarity with the mass revolution.
Sources said the cricketers led by BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon arrived at the protest venue around 1:30pm.
Earlier in the day, Duronto Rajshahi arrived at Shahbagh intersection in the morning to express solidarity with the protest demanding death penalty to all war criminals including Quader Mollah.
Besides, cricketer Shahriar Nafees along with his wife visited the protest venue on Saturday.
On Friday, Bangladesh Cricket team declared to join the mass movement at Shahbagh, demanding capital punishment of Jamaat Leader Quader Mollah.
