DHAKA: Hong Kong will recruit female Bangladeshi workers as housekeepers.
South China Morning Post reports: The process of the recruitment will begin from June this year.
Concerned officers of Bangladesh government hoped that the first team of trained housemaids will be sent to Hong Kong from June.
The process is underway in a bid to meet-up the goal.
Bangladesh Consulate in Hang Kong started scrutinizing the applications of female workers.
Consulate Acting Officer Mirana Mahrukh said after securitization and completion of other process, the applications will be sent to Hong Kong Immigration Department.
The female workers are participating in an orientation course to learn language, culture and social norms and practices of Hong Kong, said Mirana Mahrukh.
We will try our best to ensure rights of female workers of Bangladesh in Hong Kong with the help of concerned officials of this country, Mirana added.
