DHAKA: The government is going to form Cox’s Bazar Development Authority (CDA) with a view to developing tourism industry and the city in limited scale.
The Cox’s Bazar Development Authority (CDA) would be formed in line with Dhaka, Chittagong and others development authority.
Sources said housing development of the Cox’s Bazar would be controlled with a view to building a planned tourism city.
In this regard, a draft of Cox’s Bazar Development Authority (CDA) Act-2013 was given approval in a regular cabinet meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan made the disclosure while talking to journalists.
