DHAKA: Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics Chief Shahjahan Ali Molla and additional housing secretary Jillar Rahman were made new administrators of Dhaka south and north city corporations respectively.
Earlier on December 4, the government appointed Director General of Bureau of Manpower Employment as administrator to DCC (North) and Training (BMET) Khorshed Alam Chowdhury and additional secretary of Primary and Mass Education Ministry Khalilur Rahman to DCC (South).
The government made the new appointments for the newly-bifurcated two city corporations as their tenure expired Thursday
Earlier on November 29, 2011, the parliament passed a bill to split the DCC into two administrative zones.
