Sahara visits Elias’s residence

DHAKA: Home Minister Sahara Khatun has visited the house of going missing BNP leader M Elias Ali on Wednesday night to express her sympathy.

Earlier, BNP Organizing Secretary of Sylhet Division and former MP M Elias Ali went missing along with his car and driver early hours Wednesday.

Banani Thana SI Saidul Rahman told banglanews, his family members and relatives found his cell phone switched off when they tried to call him.

Later, police recovered Elias’s abandoned private car and the mobile phone of his driver in front of Mohakhali South Point School and College.

The opposition BNP led 18-party alliance has called countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal Sunday in protest against missing of BNP leader M Elias Ali.  

A meeting of the party and alliance high-ups took the decision on Wednesday night with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the chair.
