DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessed loss in share price indices at the opening hours on Wednesday (August 23), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 13.12 points or 0.28 percent to stand at 4550.55 points at 12:49pm.
Trade deals stood at 67,869 with transaction at over Tk 2640.45 million. Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 133 declined and 75 remained unchanged.
National Tubes topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 123.25 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 15.03 points to stand at 8505.58 points till 12:44pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 69 gained, 98 declined and 54 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 107.25 million.
