DHAKA: Two Officers-in-Charge of Rampura Thana in the city have been closed on Tuesday with the allegation of mismanagement in gold bar recovery.

They are Kripa Sindhu Bala, OC and Nasim Ahmed, OC (Investigate).

Ashrafuzzaman, deputy-commissioner of Motijheel Zone, informed banglanews that two OCs were directed to join Dhaka Metropolitan Police Headquarters from Rampura Thana.

DMP source said Kripa Sindhu Bala and Nasim Ahmed were withdrawn as they hid the information of recovering gold bars and later decreased the number of bars.

On Tuesday, banglanews24.com published a report on ‘gold bars seized and police men misappropriate’.

The gold bars were seized on March 13 and the information was disclosed March 16.
