DHAKA: The government has appointed Major General Shamsul Haque PSC as new Director General in the National Security Intelligence (NSI).
Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.
As per the notification, Army Officer BA-2602 Major General Shamsul Haque PSC was appointed as new Deputy Commissioner of NSI.
The new appointment was made as the contractual service tenure of current DG Major General (retd) M Manzur Ahmed had ended.
Manzur has been performing duty as DG since May 16 in 2009.
