2 books on DPR Korea launched

DHAKA: Two books written by noted poet and litterateur Ahmed Kaiser and journalist Jahangir Khan on North Korea were launched at North Korean Embassy in the city on Monday.

Ahmed Kaiser wrote the book about his 10-day journey in North Korea titled ’10-day in the oriental Korea’ and journalist Jahangir Khan wrote the book titled ‘Songun International-2’.
North Korean Global Songun Study Group published the books.

Addressing the function, North Korean Ambassador to Dhaka RI Song Hyon said, “The two writers have narrated many things, including Korean people and its achievement very clearly. I thank them.”

He also said if any Bangladeshi people want to know about Korea, these two books would be helpful for them.

IIJI Director Advocate Gareb Newaj, Deputy Director of The Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries of North Korea Kim Un Chol and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of DPR Korea Kang kyong were among others present at the event.

Consol General of Republic of Cuba Obaidul Jahangir chaired the book launching ceremony.
