DHAKA: Bangladesh have scored 205-run losing six wickets at the end of second session of the second and final Test against visiting England at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Friday (October 28).
During the 170-run second wicket partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Islam the hosts were looking very strong but English spinner Moeen Ali took both the wickets of Tamim and Mominul Haque and created pressure to which Bangladesh players succumb.
On the way to building fourth highest second-wicket partnership, Tamim hit his eighth test ton while Mominul made his 10th fifty.
Tamim made a blazing 104-run off 147-ball with the help of twelve 4’s before returning pavilion while Mominul scored 66-run.
But, Tamim’s dismissal sparked a collapse of 5 for 31. Captain Mushfiqur Rahim, who has been playing 50th test match only as a third Bangladeshi player, returned scoring 4-run while Mahmudullah amassed 13 runs. Sabbir managed his first duck in test cricket.
Currently, Shakib Al Hasan and Suvagata Hom are in the crease with 5 and 2 runs respectively.
Moeen Ali is the most successful bowler who picked up three wickets while Ben Stokes took two and Woakes took one wicket.
