DHAKA: One of the most prominent banks of the country, United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) signed an agreement with Application Solution Provider Software Shop Limited, operating under the brand name “SSL Wireless”, to offer Mobile Top-up service using the Internet Banking to its customers.

Taufiq Hassan, executive vice-president and head of UCB Retail Banking and Ashish Chakraborty, SSL Wireless chief operating officer, inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the Head Office of UCB on November 28, said a press release.

The launching of this Top-up service for the customers of UCB is the result of the SSL Wireless’s continuous efforts to implement innovative services in the banking sector.

With this service, the customers will be able to recharge their mobile balance whenever they want by using Internet Banking.

Senior executives of both sides were present at the occasion. Nehal A Huda, Vice President & Head of Cards Business, AYM Mostafa, Vice President & In-charge Information Technology Division, Md. Gias Uddin Pintu, Vice President, Abul Kalam Azad, Head of National Sales, Abu Sadat Md Sayem, Head of ADC, Retail Business Division and other members of UCB were present on the occasion.

Md. Iftekhar Alam Ishaque, Head of Engineering, Saud Bin Jahan, Senior Manager of Banking and Financial Services of SSL Wireless along with other high officials of SSL Wireless was also present.
