DHAKA: National Tax Day has been marked in all divisional cities including Dhaka as people of different walks of life joined colorful processions.

They chanted slogans such as ‘Pay Tax to Fetch Golden Days of Prosperity’ and ‘No Alternative of Tax Pay in Building a Happy Country’.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) chairman Mohammad Nazibur Rahman inaugurated the programs of Tax Day on NBR premises in city on Wednesday (November 30) by releasing pigeons and balloons.

Later, he joined a procession with national players, cultural personalities and celebrities.

People of different walks of life took part in the procession with banners, festoons and posters.

Moreover, SMS were sent to people to create awareness about the day.
