Stock market fall: Investors go on hunger strike

DHAKA: A section of investors of the share market is observing a token hunger strike on Monday (April 29) on a 12-point demand, including taking initiatives to stop stock market fall. 

Investors, under the banner of Bangladesh Share Market investors Oikya Parishad, took position in front of the DSE building around 11:00am and staging a token hunger strike programme that will continue till 4pm.

Mizanur Rashid Chowdhury, president of the organization, and others participated in the hunger strike program.

The 12-point demand include---- Resignation of the chairman of BSEC, Buyback the shares that are under the face value, No Z-category and the OTC market, no division of shares in the market, stop illegal trading of IPO placements shares of the weak company, and try to the offenders as per report of Ibrahim Khaled and every company has to declare at least 10 percent dividend annually.
