DHAKA: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has fixed the price of local beef at Tk 525 per kilogram, foreign beef at Tk 500, buffalo at Tk 480 and mutton at Tk 750 in Dhaka during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

The charter will remain activated till 26th of Ramadan.

Beef price has increased Tk 75 per kg compared to previous year’s rate.

The decision was taken at a meeting of Bangladesh Meat Traders' Association and DSCC officials, at Nagar Bhaban here Monday (May 6). 

DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon warned of action if anyone is found selling meat beyond the set prices.
