NATORE: The government will send 1.28 crore manpower abroad in the next five years. For this, one thousand skilled workers will be enlisted from every upazila.

For this, the government officials, public representatives and officials of various training organizations have been instructed to provide training to workers in a bid to send skilled and trained manpower abroad.

This information was disclosed at a seminar on 'Skill and awareness for overseas employment' at the conference room of Natore Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday (June 12).

With Natore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Shahriaz in the chair, the seminar was graced by Additional Chief Commissioner Zakir Hossain as chief guest. 

Deputy Secretary of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment ministry Abed Ali presented the keynote paper at the seminar. 

A total of 52 district level government officials, public representatives and various training organizations took part in the seminar.
