The National Consumer Rights Protection Department has banned the sale of holy Zamzam water at the Baitul Mukarram Market.

DNCRP Director General AHM Shafiquzzaman has put this ban through a meeting in the capital on Monday (Jan 30).

He said the sale of the holy water will remain suspended till further notice.

Shafiquzzaman said the DNCRP will talk to the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh in this regard after talking to owners and businessmen.
