DHAKA: Vehicles of all categories are plying on roads and highways across the country including the capital city Sunday amid the nationwide non-stop blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
However, people of all walks of life are also going to their respective destinations for their daily livelihood ignoring the fear of the incidents of torching transports and blasting cocktails.
They are now demanding a ‘solution’ of this unrest situation.
Abdul Baten, a private service holder, told banglanews that he has to go to office to keep his job running. “If I stay at home due to the blockade, office authorities will sack me. So, I have to come out ignoring the tension.”
“But, it deserves a solution,” he added.
Idris, who run a business of Thai glass in city’s Gulshan Link Road area, said that political dialogues should be arranged if the leaders think about the nation.
On the other hand, according to the transport workers, they have to run their vehicles for livelihood.
“It does not matter to the owners, if the vehicles are garaged, but, we only get money if the wheels move,” said Nazrul Islam, driver of a JR Paribahan bus service.
Other drivers also echoed Nazrul and demanded a solution of this turbulent situation.
