DHAKA: “What does actually BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia want and get by disrupting public examinations and burning people in the name of movement?”, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina questioned on Friday.
Sheikh, also president of ruling Awami League (AL), was addressing a meeting of the party’s executive committee at the city’s Ganbhaban on the evening.
The AL president urged the BNP chief to encore no more political programs during the School Secondary Certificate (SSC) examinations.
The SSC examinations began on Friday with a five-day late due to the nationwide shutdown enforced by BNP-led 20-pary alliance.
Addressing the meeting, Hasina said she went to Khaleda’s house to condole the death of Arafat Rahman Koko. But Khaleda kept her office’s entrance locked. “I don’t know whether someone has ever shown such incivility anywhere”.
Bangladesh is advancing, which BNP and its chief can not tolerate. For this reason, they are killing the countrymen by burning, she added
The premier questioned that from where BNP and its allies are getting their money to carry out violence.
Kadela called the protest programs and stayed inside her officer like a ‘queen’, claimed Hasina.
