Walston Group Director Mahbub Alam Mridul has died of cardiac arrest in a city hospital. He was 24.

He breathed his last at Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara residential area around 6:23pm Thursday.

Mridul was born at Gosai Joair village in Tangail on January 25, 1997. His father SM Shamsul Alam is vice-chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited.

He will be laid to rest after Juma prayers following namaj-e-janaza in his family graveyard of Tangail.

The sudden death of Mahbub Alam Mridul has cast a dark shadow over the Walton family.
