Two people, including a RAB member, were killed and four others injured when a microbus hit a stranded vehicle in Bhabanipur area of Sadar upazila in Gazipur on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as sergeant Khairul of RAB-4 and Liton Mia.

Sub-inspector Hadiul Islam of Mawna Highway police station, confirmed the news.

He said a microbus coming from behind hit the RAB vehicle, which was being repaired on the highway side, leaving the car mechanic Liton died on the spot, five RAB members injured. 

The injured were immediately rescued and taken to a local hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared Khairul dead, he added.
