Barishal division has reported 14 new Covid deaths in the past 24 hours, health officials said on Saturday morning.

Eight of them were confirmed Covid patients while the remaining had symptoms of the corona infection.

Of the deceased, 10 died at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH) alone, the officials said.

So far, 469 patients have died of Covid-19 in the division, said Divisional Health Director Dr Basudev Kumar Das. 

Besides, 322 people have tested positive for Covid in Barishal division in the past 24 hours.

According to the officials, 33,144 active Covid patients have been identified in the division to date.
