Khulna division registered 39 deaths in a 24-hour span till Saturday (Aug 7) morning.

With this, the Covid death toll reached 2,629 in the division. 

Health director's office confirmed the matter to media.

Besides, 428 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, raising the number of total caseloads to 98,882 in the division.

A total of 77,427 people recovered from Covid in the division so far. 

Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
