Dengue: 183 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported two deaths and 183 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Thursday morning (Oct 14), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Besides, 81 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 132 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 51 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 906 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Tuesday morning. Of them, 740 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 166 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 20,912 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 19,924 patients have returned home after recovery.
