Dengue: 2 die, 152 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported two deaths and 152 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Saturday morning (Oct 30), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, 91 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 108 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 44 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 790 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Thursday morning. Of them, 639 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 151 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 23,509 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 22,628 patients have returned home after recovery.
