The government has extended the deadline for hajj registration until May 22.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs issued an urgent notice in this regard on Wednesday (May 18).

According to the notice, the deadline for hajj registration under public and private managements was extended till May 22. 

The branches of the banks concerned will receive the registration fee till next Saturday (May 21), the notice added.

The holy hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on July 7, subject to the sighting of the moon. 

This time 56 thousand 565 people from Bangladesh will get the opportunity to perform Hajj. Of these, 4,000 will be able to go for Hajj under government management and 53,565 under private management.
