A trader was stabbed to death in Narsingdi's Madhabadi area for not donating money.

On Wednesday (May 18), at about 9 p.m., the murder occurred in Chauwa village, Meherpara union, Madhabadi.

The deceased was identified as Nayan Mia, 32, son of Manik Mia of Chaua village under Meherpara union. He runs a business of brick and sand. 

According to the relatives of the deceased muggers stabbed him while he was on his way home with cash.

Shanto and his gang killed Nayan for not donating money, added family members.

We arrested a man named Mahfuz as a suspect of involvement in the murder, according to Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Saheb Ali Pathan. Efforts are being made to arrest the other suspect.

After the autopsy, Nayan's body will be handed over to his family. A case would be filed on behalf of the family of the deceased after burying the body, Said ASP.
