A Pregnant woman evicted from hospital in Laxmipur

A pregnant woman is said to have given birth on the street after being evicted from the Mother and Child Welfare Center (Matrimangal) in Laxmipur.

On Wednesday (May 18) at around 2 pm, the relatives of the mother admitted her there.

The relatives alleged that in the same evening, the nurse and aya (Nanny) on duty evicted Shilpi.

However, the relatives demanded the removal of Nurse Sharmin Akhter and Aya Roshan Akhter, who were blamed for the incident's negligence.

The Deputy Director of the District Family and Planning Department, Ashfaqur Rahman Mamun told banglanews24 that I went to Matrimangal and spoke with the nurse, nanny, and other patients' family. After the patient was hospitalized, the treatment began. When the patient's relatives were urged to wait for a normal delivery, they refused and left the hospital.

Meanwhile, a three-member investigation committee has been formed into the incident, added Mamun.
