Three tourists died in 13 hr in Cox’s Bazar

Three tourists, including two young women, died in Cox's Bazar in 13 hours.

On Wednesday (May 18) night at Hotel seagull of Inani a tourist named Monirul Islam (40) fell ill and died at the Sadar Hospital around 1 pm.

According to wife Niza Rahman Urmi (35), Monirul Islam is the son of Abdul Aziz of Matikata Cantonment area of Dhaka.

According to Cox's Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police, Rafiqul Islam, The woman who was with him while the incident occurred has been kept in police custody, her identity is being verified. The cause of death can be ascertained after autopsy.

Confirming the deaths of three tourists, including two women, in the last 13 hours, he added that a woman named Mafua Khanam, died on Wednesday evening. Police have arrested her husband named Nasir Uddin.

On the other hand, on Wednesday at 1 pm a girl fell ill, her friends brought her to the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital and on duty doctor declared dead.  Police said the woman died of excessive intake of alcohol.

The parents of the two young women who died unnaturally in Cox's Bazar have filed cases alleging premeditated murder.

The officer in charge of the police station (OC) Selim Uddin said confirming, the girl's father filed two different cases on Thursday morning, where four people have been accused.
