Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport's third terminal will open next year, said Aviation and Tourism Minister Mahbub Ali.

The minister made the remark while talking to reporters at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (May 23).

Asked whether measures to be taken to stop harassment of the passengers at the airport, the minister said: "Customs and other agencies have been instructed to question specific passengers or 1 to 2 per cent of suspected passengers."

According to Minister Mahbub, negotiations with airlines are underway to reduce the ticket fares for expatriate workers.

Besides, talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs about the launch of e-gate are underway, the minister added.
