Narsingdi UP member Murder : Case filed against 16, including chairman

A murder case has been filed against 16 people, including the current chairman of Hajipur Union, in connection with the murder of former UP member Sujit Sutradhar in Narsingdi.

The deceased son Sujan Sutradhar filed the case with Narsingdi Model Police Station on Friday (June 24) at noon.

The names accused are: current chairman of Hajipur Union Ifsuf Khan Pintu (55), his brother Moniruzzaman Khan (45), Badr Uddin Sarkar (60), Kawsar Mahbub (35), Ferdous Salauddin (35), Touhid Akram (30), Tanvir Sarkar. (30), Rakib Sarkar (32), Mamun Mollah (36), Delwar Hossain (32), Tareq Mia (25), Akbar Mia (25), Ajmal Sarkar (50), Masum (26), Shimul Mahmud (24), and Sohag Mia (25).

Narsingdi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Talukder said that after the murder of Sujit Member, police conducted raids at various places in the city on the basis of information technology and intelligence and arrested the accused Masum, Shimul and Sohag. 

Blood-stained knives and blood-stained wood used in the murder were recovered from them. Police have also launched an operation to arrest the main accused in the case, Pintu Chairman and others, said OC.

Earlier, on Wednesday (June 22) around 8:30 pm former UP member was hacked to death by miscreants due to previous hostilities in Kathbazar of Hajipur in his own shop.
