Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said dope tests will be made compulsory for students during university admission by amending the law.

The minister made the announcement at a press conference on the occasion of "International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 2022" at the Secretariat on Sunday (June 25). 

Before admissions to respective universities, a student needs to undergo medical tests, which would also include dope tests, he said.

Mentioning that it requires infrastructure development to carry out this programme extensively, and they have started to implement it.
