Burn victim doctor of Mitford Hospital dies 

A physician of Sir Salimullah Medical College (Mitford Hospital), who sustained burn injuries in a fire on the sixth floor of a building on Hare Street Dhaka’s Wari area on Friday afternoon (June 24), died on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Adity Sarker, 38, was the registrar for the neonatal unit at Mitford Hospital of the hospital.

Adity Sarker, with 50% burns, succumbed while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at around 10am.

Adity's husband Manas Mondal said she had been sick and ‘upset’ for several days. He had come home from work on Friday afternoon and was changing out of his clothes when he heard his wife’s screams from the other room.
