Police have arrested a man on charges of attempting to sabotage the Padma Bridge.

Md. Asaduzzaman, Chief of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the information on Thursday (June 30).

However, DMP has not yet revealed the name of the detained man.

Asaduzzaman said details would be announced at a press conference at the DMP Media Center at noon.
