Padma Bridge: Motorcycles not allowed before Eid-Ul-Azha

The government today (July 3) has hinted that motorcycles will not be allowed to cross the Padma Bridge before Eid-ul-Azha.

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said this in response to a question at the end of a virtual cabinet meeting presided by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning in the Capital.

He said it will be difficult for the bike riders to cross Padma Bridge before Eid. Cameras with artificial intelligence are being set on the Bridge. The decision will be taken after that, he added.

Earlier on Monday (June 27) government announced a ban on motorcycle on the Padma Bridge from 6 am until further notice.
