A person died from electrocution in Chatian Union of Mirpur Upazila at Kushtia on Friday (Sep 23).

The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 35.

Chatian Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Kabir Biswas confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said Monirul came home from Malaysia on vacation 20 days ago. He was building his own house in Shurshuri Bazar. He was electrocuted and died on the spot while trying to start the electric motor in the house under construction this morning.
