Bangabandhu Setu West Police Station arrested a drug peddler along with 2,485 Yaba tablets after searching a passenger bus in Sirajganj today (Friday 30).

The arrestee was identified as Rezaul Karim Sekh, 42.

Bangabandhu Setu West Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mosaddek Ali confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said acting on a tip-off, a police check post was set up west of the toll plaza of the bridge early on Friday morning and a drive was conducted. At that time, Rezaul Karim was arrested along with Yaba tablets.

a case has been lodged at Bangabandhu Setu West Police Station, he added.
