Sabhanaz Rashid Diya has been appointed as Bangladesh Affairs Officer in the Public Policy Department of Facebook. 

A virtual Facebook meeting was held with Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar in this regard on Monday. 

She was appointed in April this year. At that time, it was officially announced that a Bangladeshi Bengali speaker would be appointed to look after the part of Bangladesh with a quick resolution of any problem related to content.

The meeting was attended by Vikram Seng, Head of Safety, Ashwini Rana, Director of Public Policy, Sabhanaz Rashid Dia, newly appointed Bangladesh Affairs Officer and Iram Iqbal of Mobile Partners. 

In the meeting, the minister mentioned this appointment as a fruitful initiative.

Sabhanaz Rashid is a Technology Policy and Global Development Specialist. She has over 15 years of experience in policy research, design and implementation. She has worked in South and Southeast Asia, South Africa and America.

In July 2019, the world-renowned social media advertised for the post of Public Policy Manager and Marketing Specialist for Bangladesh.
