DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier, launched its fourth flights on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route on Friday.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon formally inaugurated the flight at boarding bridge-16 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city around 11:00am.
Biman’s secretary Khurshid Alam Chowdhury, Chairman of Biman Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Acting Managing Director Mosaddek Ahmed, Director Marketing and Sales Shahnewaj and others attended in the inauguration program.
From now on, Biman will operate four flights on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route at 11:00am on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.
Earlier, Biman had three flights in a week in the route.
Biman's acting managing director Mosaddek Ahmed, also chief executive officer said that Biman decided to increase the flight numbers as new generation Boeing 777-300 ER has been added to Biman’s fleet recently.
