CHITTAGONG: One of the cabin crews of US-Bangla Airlines (USBA) with absolute politeness told the passenger sitting beside the emergency exit of the jet, ‘In case of any emergency you might do some help to us.’ The passenger also agreed accordingly.

However, such politeness is rare in air journey. The dealings of the cabin crews of US-Bangla Airlines were really delightful.

Danger might come at any moment but to inform the passenger seating beside the emergency gate about help is not a general trend. This is an example of pleasant and careful services to the passengers.

Many aspects of services were visible when Dash-8Q (Turbo Prop) jet of USBA started for Chittagong from Dhaka at 7:40am on Friday.

Functioning of airlines’ workers at the counter of domestic airport silently till ensuring the boarding pass was really hassle-free.

The time of waiting for the jet inside the airport was furnished with a cup of coffee.

The carrier completed all preparations for taking off in due time. One by one the passengers started arriving on time. Next, we got the call to board the plane and we started moving towards the aircraft in a single file.

The passengers were carried by private car, micro-bus and a bus to the runway from the tarmac. The theme music of USBA was being played in the carrier vehicles.

The directions were coming through the sound system for the drivers for the next course of action. Finally, the vehicle carrying the passengers stopped near the boarding point.

After boarding the plane with the help of the security personnel, passengers were received by smiling Sharmin, a cabin crew, who was showing their respective seats. The behavior of the cabin crew was simply charming.

The passengers fastened their seat belts accordingly but the exceptional was the prior request to the passenger sat beside the emergency exit.

Gradually the 78-seat Dash-8 got filled. In response to a question, Sharmin informed that the number of passengers is 70. Four passengers did not turn up.

It was the time to take off. The plane started moving at 7.40am. The captain did not take much time to fly high at an altitude of 10,000-15,000 feet. The sign of untying the seat belt came.

Meanwhile, the cabin crew started distribution of lunch box and water. The caterer of the supplied food was also USBA. The airline was very careful about the quality of food.

The journey was only for 35 minutes. The morning sky of autumn in Dhaka was clear but it was gloomy in Chittagong. The captain announced that within a very short time we are going to land at Shah Amanat Airport in Chittagong.

Though the sky was cloudy, the aircraft was normally going down for landing and finally touched the ground with a mild jerk.

After the flight was over the passengers started moving towards the air port. Within five minutes the luggage reached the conveyor belt. The overall short autumn journey was peaceful and safe with enormous satisfaction.
