Dr Philip Kotler, an American marketing author, consultant, and father of modern marketing, highlighted Bashundhara Tissue, a product of the Bashundhara Group, in his newly published book.

Bangladesh edition of the book titled “Essentials of Modern Marketing” made a case study on the Bashundhara Tissue.

Various social welfare activities under the marketing of the brand alongside the quality of the product have been analysed in the case study.

Philip Kotler’s ‘Essentials of Modern Marketing’ was unveiled at a ceremony held at a hotel in the capital Dhaka recently.

Planning minister MA Mannan and prime minister’s economic affairs adviser Mashiur Rahman were present at the ceremony.

Philip joined the event virtually. Kotler Impact Inc Canada and Northern Education Group jointly organised the event.

Bashundhara Tissue has been encouraging people to follow hygiene and health regulations as part of social marketing.

Bashundhara tissue is one of the four products of Bashundhara Group to have achieved internationally prestigious ‘Superbrands Award’ in February this year.

Three other products are paper, diapant, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Besides, Bashundhara Tissue received ‘Best Brand Award-2022’ for the fifth consecutive term.

Bangladesh Brand Forum in partnership with Nielsen Bangladesh accorded the award at the 14th edition of the Best Brand Awards held at Le Méridien, Dhaka.

Bashundhara Tissue also received the ‘Asia’s Greatest Brand 2020-21’ award.

The award was given at the AsiaOne Magazine’s 14th Edition of Asia Africa Business and Social Forum: Awards & Business E-summit held virtually.
