DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 34 points to stand at 4,330 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 111,851 with transaction at Tk 4,561 million. Of the issues traded, 212 advanced, 46 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

SPPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 260 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GOLDENSON, LANKABAFIN, SUMITPOWER, GENNEXT, APEXADELFT, ORIONPHARM, APOLOISPAT, BEDL and GP.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,495 by gaining over 58 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 135 gained, 52 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
